Founded in 1986, the Darkroom was created to print the Middlebury College yearbook.​​​

Since 2017, it has provided open access to film materials and training in analog photography.

In 2024, Darkroom Club expanded into digital, becoming a campus-wide photography hub

Now, we use this website to build a stronger photography hub at Middlebury, where photographers can exchange, showcase, and improve, and where newcomers have the opportunity to learn and to be seen.
